RESERVATIONS: A deposit of $500 per person is required to confirm your reservation. A completed reservation form is due at time of deposit. Final payment for all tours is due in full 90 days prior to departure. A signed release of liability form is also due 90 days prior to departure. Let us know when you’re ready to reserve and we’ll send you the reservation form and release of liability form.

RATES: Our published rates are in USD and are based on double occupancy. There is a single supplement for solo travelers in private rooms to cover the increased cost. Rates are figured around exchange rates of the USD and EURO. Should there be a substantial currency fluctuation, we reserve the right to adjust our rates accordingly.

PAYMENT: Payments are accepted in US dollars only. We accept payment by check, Electronic Funds Transfer or through PayPal using a major credit card. If paying through PayPal, there is a 3.75% surcharge. We prefer to talk directly with all potential participants before any bookings. For this reason, we do not have an online booking system on our website. Let us know when you’re ready to reserve and we’ll send you instructions according to your preferred payment method.

CHANGES TO RESERVATIONS: There are no penalties for transferring your reservation to another tour date within the same calendar year, provided you do so at least 90 days prior to tour start. There will be a $100 per person administrative fee charged for changes to your reservation within 90 days prior to tour start and changes within this timeframe may also be subject to cancellation penalties. All changes are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

CANCELLATIONS: All cancellation requests must be received in writing. We will happily refund your deposit less a $100 per person administrative fee if the cancellation is made 90 days prior to departure. Unfortunately, we cannot refund deposits after this 90 day period. For this reason, we urge all participants to purchase travelers insurance should unexpected circumstances require you to cancel your trip.

Should you need to cancel your trip 90-61 days prior to the trip departure, then we will refund 60% of the purchase price. Should you cancel 60-31 days prior to the trip departure, then we will refund 45% of the purchase price.

If you cancel 30 days before departure, then we unfortunately cannot refund any payments. Again, we strongly encourage participants to purchase travelers insurance that includes trip cancellation.

CANCELLATION BY US: Real Travel France reserves the right to cancel a tour at any time for any reason, if there are too few participants, or if the quality of the tour or the safety of participants is compromised. Though rare, should a trip be cancelled you will receive a full refund that will constitute full settlement. Any personal expenses such as airline tickets or other travel or hotel expenses due to changes in itineraries or cancellations will not be covered. For this reason, we encourage you to confirm trip details with us before making travel arrangements that might be non-refundable and we encourage you to purchase travel insurance.

TRAVEL INSURANCE: We strongly recommend that you buy comprehensive travel insurance (covering accident/life, trip cancellation, trip interruption and baggage) before traveling on a Real Travel France tour. We also recommend that you review your existing personal insurance policies to ensure you have appropriate coverage to meet your needs, particularly for the risks associated with the activities in which you will be partaking as described in our limitation of liability section.

DEPARTURES AND TOUR SIZE: Travel to and from the specified tour start and end points are the responsibility of the traveler, not Real Travel France. There is no refund for arriving late or departing early from a tour, nor for any meals, or services not used while on tour. All departures will require a minimum number of passengers to operate. The maximum number of tour participants on any departure will be 8 people not including tour leaders.

ITINERARIES: We reserve the right to modify dates, routes, hotels and activities as needed. Every effort is made to operate tours as advertised, but due to circumstances out of our control, we may make changes after the final itinerary has been issued.

PRE AND POST TRAVEL ASSISTANCE: We will happily help you plan the details of your personal itinerary around the trip begin and end dates. We can recommend the best hotels, transportation and other travel services suited to your needs. This is a complimentary service to Real Travel France guests, but we do not guarantee the recommended services and Real Travel France is not liable for any issues that may arise during use.
